Hello to all of you who participated in the Climate Action Meeting in Creston on November 29, and to those who were unable to make it. Happy new year!

Our meeting with you was an excellent one – you shared a great deal of interesting, informed, and exciting thinking on potential climate action in your communities.  As we committed, I have attached a summary of meeting proceedings. I apologize for the delay in circulating these.

One of the outcomes from the meeting is the list of project ideas generated – this list provides a practical snapshot of a wide range of potential climate and sustainability action for your communities – see section 10 of the attached report.  Some of the projects have been identified as potentially eligible for support through the Trust’s Climate Action Program. If you or your organization may be a champion for one of these, please contact me at your earliest convenience so that we can consider funding eligibility in more detail.

I have attached the funding resources document that lists many excellent funding opportunities for climate action projects. The Climate Action Program backgrounder is reattached for your reference.

If you have questions, comments, or concerns about the summary meeting report (or anything else related to the Climate Action Program), please contact me. I would be glad to talk with you.

On behalf of the Climate Action Team, thank you for your engagement in climate action in Creston-Kootenay Lake! I hope to hear from you soon.

With kind regards;
