Riondel Commission of Management
Established under the guidelines of the Local Government Act, the Riondel Commission of Management works alongside the Regional District of Central Kootenay (RDCK) to meet the needs of the Riondel community.
The six volunteer Commissioners assist the RDCK in the provision of Water & Drainage services, with maintenance & repair of Street Lighting, and with the management and maintenance of Riondel’s Community Centre, Recreation Centre, and Regional Park. It is the responsibility of the Commission of Management to ensure that the vision and interests of the Riondel community are well represented. While the Commission does not have the authority to adopt by-laws or sign binding agreements, it forwards recommendations to the RDCK for consideration and ratification prior to any action being taken.
